Heavy gauge steel construction includes tubing that's been welded on all four sides, and de-burred inside and out for maximum user safety.

SDRS550 Five-to-50-pound Set of Rubber Dumbbells
A patent-pending Secure Dumbbell System combines one-piece cast iron heads with steel inserts that have been pinned, press-fitted, and welded. The weights' compact design makes them shorter in length and easier to work with than conventional dumbbells, while a durable rubber finish protects both you and your workout area.
The set includes two each of five-, ten-, 15-, 20-, 25-, 30-, 40-, 45-, and 50-pound hexagonal dumbbells.
RF34B Rubber Equipment Mat
Ideal for general fitness use, this mat is made of super-tough, durable PVC material that protects your floors and carpets from the damaging effects of heavy exercise equipment. Highly Recomend
I considered buying only the bodysolid dumbbell set of 5-50lbs, but when I stumbled upon this deal for the 3 tier rack and mat I decided it was too good to pass up. My order arrived within 8 days and the delivery driver was good at calling and giving me updates on the shippment. The rack was easy to put together, you may need a socket wrench to help tighten it down. The weights fit good on the rack and the rack doesn't mover around or "wiggle"; it's put together very well. The weights are a very nice rubber material like you would see at most gyms with a chrome knurling bar to hold them together. All in all, it is an excellent product and (in my opinion) deal. The only negative would be that the weights have a slight coating of some sort of chemical/lubricator on them so you may need to wipe them off or let them dry in a room with good circulation for a day or two. terrible odor
The set itself is excellent./ The problem is the horrible odor that permiates from the rubber. I dont know what to do to get rid of it. They are alsoi coated with an oil, so be very carerful where you place the dumbels. Well made and good quality.
Great Dumbbells
I bought this entire set of dumbbells and rack and they have been awesome. What I recommend is that when you get them, immediately take them out of the boxes and let them air out. After a few days, use a vinegar/baking soda solution with water and clean them. When they are dry, let them bake in the sun (if you can do this) for a few days, or put a heating lamp on them (if that works) because the curing from that direct heat will get rid of that rubber smell. Other than that, they are awesome and work great!
