Great for preschoolers
This was a great value for the money. My 3- and 5-year-old girls use it to practice their gymnastics between lessons. At this point, they just do basic skills, but it is substantial enough that they'll be able to practice walk-overs and such as their skill level advances. It is suitably heavy and the suede cover is just like the practice beams at their gym.

Balance beam
It has a good look and feel. Easy to put together and no missing parts. The kids think that the beam is like the one in there gymnastic class.
Great Beam
I have a 7 yo that is in competitive gym. This was a delight for her to recieve. She loves it and can't get enough of it. The low legs give her a lot of security but do not allow her to practice mounts and dismounts.
