great product
Great item for helping people who are learning pull ups. Well built. Decent video for instruction. Take note of how much assistance you want as this one (the green one) has a LOT of assistance. (assistance can be adjusted by removing one of the bands)

Discouraged no more!
I have been following an excellent strength and conditioning program for two years. I work with a trainer twice a week and at home 2-3 days. I have made great strides, but have yet to be able to complete a single pull-up or multiple perfect push-ups. Thanks to Lifeline, I am able to complete the Spartan 300 workout, which includes 50 pull-ups and 50 push-ups. Am I wimping out because I am doing them with assistance? Let me answer this by asking you, " If a master marksman is near-sighted and wears corrective lenses in a competition, is he any less of a champion?". If assistance is what you need to be able to perform at your best, why wouldn't you use it? 100 assisted push and pull-ups are definitely better than none at all!
Helped me go from 0-10 pull-ups in one month!
Before I tried this, I couldn't do one regular pull-up to save my life, now after working out with this helper for a little over a month, I can do 10 pull-ups with no assistance. This thing is great too because it allows you to really max out your pull-ups and get a good pump, much like a lat machine does but pull-ups are so much better for you in terms of muscle recruitment.

Phoenix 98623 Revolution Cycle Pro II Exercise Bike
The modern-looking Revolution Cycle Pro II has advanced features such as Direct Drive Resistance System, Emergency Stop Brake System, Adjustable Seats/Handlebars, and Easy Transportation. This revolutionary product is designed for an energetic and challenging workout, and is also adapted to people with different intensity needs. Unlike road bikes, the flywheel does not continue to spin if the rider stops pedaling. The rider slows the flywheel and controls the tension with a tension knob. A two-way adjustable seat post allows for a more complete and versatile exercise routine. This seat system was specifically designed for easy movement horizontally and vertically while mounted on the bike during the workout. Adjustable forward positioned handlebars and racing style pedals give the Revolution Cycle Pro II a road bike feel. The modern-looking Revolution Cycle Pro II is designed for an energetic and challenging workout, with such features as a direct-drive resistance system, an emergency stop brake system, and an adjustable seat and handlebars. Unlike with road bikes, the 39.6-pound balanced flywheel on the Revolution Cycle Pro II doesn't continue to spin if the rider stops pedaling. Instead, the rider slows the flywheel and controls the tension with a tension knob, helping the bike adapt to people with different intensity needs. The direct-drive system, meanwhile, lets the rider pedal either forward or backward during the workout, with a quick-stop handle serving as an instant brake for changing directions or in case of emergency. Most importantly, the Revolution Cycle Pro I is biomechanically efficient, with a two-way adjustable seat post that moves vertically and horizontally while you're mounted on the bike, along with an adjustable handlebar. As a result, you can drop the saddle down and out of the way to work the inner thigh, or perform other legwork off the back of the bike.

Other details include a heavy-duty brake pad resistance system with center-pull brake pads, front wheels for easy transport, sturdy toe clips made of the same alloy materials used in off-road racing, a heat-treated axle, a water bottle, and a weight capacity of 250 pounds. The Revolution Cycle Pro II measures 24 by 42.5 by 42.3 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 113 pounds.

About Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

good as spinner NTX and schwinn
This bike is great gym quality for half the price of spinner NTX and schwinn. I used the NTX at the gym and other than the fact that te NTX is cooler looking, it preforms the same. If you compare the spinner pro/elite or the schwinn models to this one, they have basically the same frame, plus the braking/resistance pads on the pheonix is the same as the schwinn only with a couple inprovements.
The ntx resistance pad is a single direct pressure on the outside of the flywheel---which is esentially the same as a drum brake. A single pad with less surface area leads to increased wear and needing to replace the pad sooner. whereas the pheonix and the schwinn use 2 pads compressing the flywheel---like a disc brake.---increased resistance surface and better resistance, decreased wear on pads.
It is as sturdy and well build as the NTX.-even has the same handlebars--minus the bottle holders. It is heavy---130 lbs but has wheels for moving.

Only thing to consider is that...

Nice quality and smooth ride
This is really nice, quiet bike that has a smooth ride, and I highly recommend it!

It came in one large box, and my husband put it together in less than 30 minutes since the wheel and main components were already attached; all he had to do was put on the handle, seat, and pedals. We did not have the problem with the broken knob that the two other reviewers mentioned.

The wheel does make some noise when riding it, but it's not any louder than the higher-end spin bikes you'd find at the gym. I was actually surprised at how quiet and smooth it is. It does wobble a bit when you stand and do hill climbs, but I think that is because we currently have it on carpet. We're looking into putting this on a different surface to see if that makes it more stable, and I will try to remember to update my review once we do this.

The adjustments on this are also great, both in terms of the tension knob and the physical bike itself. I was worried that you'd have to...
BETTER THAN EXPECTED...
Ok..so I bought this item for home because of the fabulous price ($478.99 w/free s/h). It was a toss up between this and another brand. Although it was heavy, I was able to get it into my house (3 steps) on my own without straining anything...I put it together by myself within 40 minutes or so and this sucker is STOUT. One little nobby broke off during shipping but will be replaced; I'm not concerned--it didn't effect the bike at at all. So I just completed my first workout on it and I must say, it's stable, sturdy, just like the one at my gym and I LOVE IT. I'm pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a spin bike for your home...It's got all the necessary adjustments needed for the novice/intermediate spinner!

If you buy a bowflex, buy this one . . . but.
This review may sound a little negative, but . .well, I'll explain. I do use this machine pretty regularly and enjoy working out on it. But it ain't cheap, and it ain't perfect, either, especially if you're a complete novice to weightlifting.

Over the years, I've worked out in gyms and I've worked out at home both with older Bowflex power-rod models and with this one. I'm about the furthest thing there is from a walking mile of muscle, but I try to at least maintain a basic fitness level. Overall, I prefer lifting in a gym with a friend as a spotter, for a lot of reasons -- working out with a friend helps educate you about proper lifting technique, the buddy system works as motivator, and many of the most efficient excercises for muscle gain -- deadlifts, military press, squats -- require either free weights or a dedicated Smith machine, and can't be performed on this machine.

But if you don't have any friends to lift with you and there aren't any gyms nearby, or...

Solid and challenging
Love working out on this equipment. Not hard to change configuration for different exercises. Easy to add or take away weights. Takes up some space (10 feet long) and heavy so be sure to figure that in.
Not a good purchase ... better to walk away
We've just sold our bowflex and neither my husband nor I have any regrets. We've both weight lifted for years but since we live in high country in the Rocky Mountains (that means LOTS of snow) we wanted an option for working out at home. The truth is that the Revolution is not a good machine. The weights are difficult to get on and off and the whole thing is cumbersome at best. The floor space it takes is much larger than you realize and heaven help you if you want to move it - it's a heavy sucker. For a fraction of the price you would be better off getting a good set of free weights, with a shelving unit, and then learn why free weights are every weight lifters preference. My recommendation is that you run, not walk, AWAY from the Bowflex. If you do insist on having one, find a used older version with the vertical bars - they were much easier to load and unload as you changed weights and exercises. Oh - and their resale value is the pits.
