Pretty Good
I tried an inversion table a week ago at a gym and had to have one. I ordered this one on Monday and got it on Tuesday with free shipping so that was exciting in itself. Assembly was pretty easy, the bolts are already in the holes they go in, so that saves time looking to see which one you need. Put together it seems pretty sturdy. I had it put together in less than an hour by my self.
The inversion felt good, I was on a Teeter table at the gym and while it was super nice, I am not going to spend that much money, right out of the gate.
My only complaint is, I am not that tall and to set the table at a full inversion, with the foot slippage, my head hit the metal bar instead of resting on the mat part. I think I can fix this with a travel pillow. My arms also are touching the ground, but I can also live with this. Overall I am really happy, my back and shoulder don't hurt this morning and my hips aren't screaming at me for all the sitting and driving that I do.

Better than I expected
Knowing these things can run upwards of $300-400 I was expecting something of less quality when I ordered this $119.00 unit. I am pleasantly surprised with the sturdiness and construction of this table. I would recommend it to all my family and friends. It was pretty easy to assemble, there was some pre-assembly out of the box. The only thing negative I have to say about it is that once assembled, it is a challenge to move around. It is on the heavy side, which is good in that it is heavy duty, but it doesn't fold down to a manageable size if you wan't to move it from room to room.
Great for back pain
I won't lie and tell you that my pain is cured; however, I can truthfully state that it helps immensely. It relieves tension in my back and ultimately results in easier, less painful days. Don't be fooled into thinking that the $280 inversion tables are any better. The Body Max was simple to put together and folds easily for easy storage.

The Elite Fitness 9250 Inversion Table is a winner
After reading about the benefits of inversion tables and doing some research, the 9250 along with a couple of other tables met our criteria: Inexpensive, folds for storage, wrap around handles, sufficient height adjustment. Opted for this one because the breathable mesh back area with a removeable head pillow looked most comfortable. Good choice! It is as it molds to the body more than a padded backrest. Assembly of the table took about an hour using ratchets instead of the included wrenches. The instructions and pictures are clear with each part numbered. The unit we received had a part lacking a crucial bolt hole (table was usable without that part installed). Contacted the manufacturer on Monday and had a replacement part here on Thursday. That's good customer service. After almost a week of using the Elite 9250 table, can report that it's effective. As soon as I invert, feel my spine aligning and there's a full body stretch. Lower back soreness has decreased to almost nothing...

great value
If you're looking on here, you don't need to hear about how great inversion tables are.
This one is not super easy to put together, but not very difficult either (took me a about an hour). The ankle clamps/pads are not easy to adjust but it is doable with a little force... WD-40 might help, haven't tried it yet. I just keep the ankle pads in the same position and slide my feet in the side.
Very comfortable for a machine that hangs you upside down by your ankles. The head rest is nice and the handles are convenient.
Works fine, could be longer
This inversion table works fine for the price. It's not a fancy table with infinitely adjustable angles (there are 3 different levels from about 10 degrees from horizontal to about 60 degrees), but it works well at what it does. The upper end of the table would be better if it extended a little further--I'm about 5'11", and the cushion pushes my shoulders out of alignment, but if I take off the cushion, the metal bar in the frame is uncomfortable on my head. It's not a game stopper for me, but it could be better.

Let me start by saying that this is a product review, not a review of inversion therapy. I'm disappointed so many people gave inversion tables 5 stars when they were rating inversion therapy rather than the inversion table. I would advise anyone to read these reviews carefully. I would rate inversion therapy as a 5 - do it yourself traction is great for your back. It can help older people with compressed disks to find pain relief and help younger people from developing such problems as quickly. For more advanced degenerative spinal disease you should definitely seek medical advice before purchasing such a system.

OK that said, I just received an Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table and put it together last night, which took about an hour and a half. It would have taken less time if I didn't have two little helpers constantly in my way. The only part missing was a metal washer, which (being a guy) only took a trip to the garage to...

Snap, Crackle, Pop
The slogan from Rice Krispy, "Snap, Crackle, Pop," is fitting for inversion tables, as thats the sound your joints make when being inverted... at least it was in my case.

Prior to purchasing this Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table, I had no experience with inversion tables. I knew what it did, but never tried it. All I knew that it relieved back pain. As you'll notice here on Amazon, there are quite a few Inversion Tables to choose from. Though there were no reviews of this unit when I purchased it, I decided to give this one a shot.

Pros:
- Solid construction
- Lumbar pillow (removable)
- Extended head rest (others that I've seen don't seem to extend that far)
- Long hand grips
- "Ratchet Gear" lock to lock ankles into place
- Easily adjustable for different heights

Cons:
- Heavy, at 111 lbs
- Does not fold up for storage
- The greater the angle of inversion, the ankle holds do get a little...
Great Product
The Ironman ATIS 4000 was delivered yesterday (a week earlier than the projected delivery date). My wife and I put it together in an hour. I would recommend having access to a metric socket during the assembly. We proceeded to put it through its paces and we immediately felt relief in our lower backs and shoulder areas. My wife did not take any Advils today, which she attributes to the utilization of this machine. Before you purchase the Ironman be aware that this device takes up the space equivalent of a treadmill and you cannot fold it up and put it under a sofa. I would like to see some recommended exercises and possibly a demo DVD included so that I could more effectively harness the table's advantages. Overall I think that the quality of construction gives the user a sense of comfort and safety, that lesser machines might not afford the user.

Body Solid GIB2 Inversion Boots...could be just what you need
This product takes some getting use to, but ultimately can be very beneficial.

First, you have to get use to the fact that the boots are NOT going to stay perfectly in-place after you strap them on, even if they feel snug. They are made of excellent solid construction but know that they are going to slide right down to your feet as soon as you begin to hang. With that in mind, NEVER use them bare-foot! In fact, the bigger the shoes/work boots you use, the more secure you will feel. You might find that you need to keep your feet flexed when hanging.

Second, I had lower back surgey in 1985. I'm 48 now and sometimes suffer from spasm's and or compression because I was not fused at L4-5, they just left scare tissue. So this is a weak spot in my frame. When I do too much physical work or sit for very long periods I can tweek my lower back resulting in hip rotation and or spinal compression and sometimes it takes weeks to really come out of it. Way to Hang!
The GIB2 Inversion Boots, most definitely helped my back, as for the last two months, my back has been hurting. I injured it doing squats a few years ago, and every now and then, it just acts up with no warning, so I thought I'd try these boots. The only complaint I have is that they need more padding, as they really hurt the ankle to the point that it gets very uncomfortable, even with the extra padding they include. I cannot hang as long as I would like to, due to the pain from the boots.

Other than that, for the few minutes that I am able to, it does relieve the pain in my back, and my back does feel better. The ankle pain goes away faster than the back pain, so you aren't swapping back pain for ankle pain. Only while you are hanging, does the ankle pain happen.
Adequite thicker padding would be nicer
The boots work as promised and came in timely fashion.
they do hurt your ankles over a long period of hanging (15-20 mins)
I use the added padding that came with the shipping material for more cushion, I think a more thicker dense foam would be better.

you will have to wear shoes with them if you have small feet.

Great Value, Solid Piece of Equiptment
I received a manual and detailed instructions for assembly. My husband and I spent about 45 mins putting it together - I wouldn't say it was real easy, but it wasn't rocket science. This inversion table is built solid - it doesn't appear to be "cheap". As soon as I got on it, I felt a difference in my lower back. I have a herniated disc between L4-L5. I wasn't sure that an inversion table would provide much "decompression" or traction. The stretch I felt in my lower back was immediate, and it felt very similar to the stretch I felt when I had DTS (like a VAX-D machine) at my chiropractor's office. The DTS machine is expensive and the most you can use it is three times a week, but you can use the inversion table several times a day if you have the time. However, you can't stay inverted for long - I can't imagine ever being inverted for more than 10 mins at a time, and I only stayed inverted for a few minutes each time. It only makes sense that if you feel funny, sit up/stand up...

Best Inverter Table for the Money
Having purchase both the Teeter Hangup (one of the most popular inverters) and this Ironman, I will try to make a comparison.

I purchased the Teeter Hangup table for my personal use. Very satisfied except that the leg clamps at the bottom are not nearly as comfortable as the Ironman. I am 6'4" and weigh 220, so that may be an issue. My wife does not have any discomfort at all.

My daughter and her husband really liked the benefits of inversion after using our Teeter (they find no discomfort either). But because of the leg clamp issue I researched other alternatives.

As a result we purchased this Ironman for them as a gift and it is a LOT more comfortable for me at the ankles and feet than the Teeter type leg clamps. Otherwise, the construction is equivalent in quality.

Other differences to consider:

Teeter allows the table to move further from your back when fully inverted. This allows more freedom to do more exercises...
Great item for the price
Very sturdy table. Easy to assemble. It has really helped with my back problems.
I took two stars away from my rating because:
1) it does not fold up very easily and takes up a lot of space and
2) the ankle locks are not very comfortable. I found that if I wear sneakers that have a heavily padded tongue and upper that it is not as bad.
If I had to purchase again, I would spend more and find a model that has more comfortable ankle locks.
